A bizarre game, and one of the most entertaining of the BASH 1999-2000 season!
Missing the guts of their team (Louis, Davy Jay, Dan Braun, both Kelly's and more), the LandSharks gave Steve Paltiel the nod in goal. Paltiel gave up a goal 3 minutes in, but after 20 minutes, the game was going at the LandSharks' pace and the score was 2-1 in their favor. Midway through the second, they had opened up a 6-1 lead and had chased Rink Rat goalie Duri Suja.
But the Rats were not done yet, and scored 2 before the 2nd period was done. Three more goals to open the third tied the game at 6-6, and replacement goalie Bob Tucker was looking for a victory.
The teams traded goals late in the third period, and it looked like a 7-7 overtime was coming when Mark Adelson blasted a ball through Tucker for the LandShark victory.
With the loss, the Rats fell to 5th place, 2 pts ahead of the LSharks and 2 pts behind the Bomb.
