PARIS, FRANCE -
The weinerdog really has nothing to do with our last day in Paris; I just liked this image, which is stenciled on the
sidewalks. We think it shows where you're supposed to walk your dog. Paris certainly has a lot of dogs, mostly little
pocket-sized things in sweaters. And they poop on the sidewalk, so watch your step.
On the 6th we took the Métro out to Montmartre in the afternoon, had actual French french fries at an overpriced cafe on the main square and paid our respects at the not-yet-open-for-the-evening Lapin Agile, the famous nightclub and the inspiration for a great play by Steve Martin, by the way - see it if you get the chance. We also spent some time searching for the steps in the famous black and white photo, but it turns out Montmartre has a lot of steps, and before long the freezing mist and rain drove us back indoors.
At night we took the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower and spent some time gazing out at the city.
